Fire fighters brought the blaze under control and then aired the property. However whilst the bedroom area is a mess the dwelling did not suffer any structural damage and the family will be able to shortly return.

KEY HOLDERS
The local police in Ronda are now to be given the house keys of those old or infirm people living alone who in an emergency have nobody to come to their aid. MAY’S FAIR
The Real Feria de Mayo in Ronda is the oldest in Andalucía but was cancelled last year after the town hall used its 300,000 euros backing to invest in job creation projects. The event is back on this year but the municipality has reduced its funding by 50 per cent. The fair is largely an agricultural celebration including livestock and exhibitions of machinery.
